The end of the year brings both celebration and pressure. For households already stretched, Christmas is another set of costs at a moment when work is scarce.
The foundation's year-end outreach brought its programmes together in one visit: food support for households identified through the Food Scheme Program, a community gathering with a local church, and dedicated time with the children of supported families.
It is the kind of day that shows what the foundation means by securing people spiritually, physically, economically and academically — not four separate services, but one relationship with a household carried in four directions.
