Back-to-school support at the start of term
The start of a term is when learners are most likely to be lost. Fees, uniforms and exam costs all fall due at once — this is the moment the foundation steps in.
Lean season food support for elderly households
Between harvests, elderly people living alone are among the first to run short. This is the foundation's recurring response through the hungriest months of the year.
Village outreach gatherings with local churches
Outreach arranged together with churches already rooted in the community, so that anyone who responds has somewhere to belong afterwards.
Hygiene and sanitation sessions in schools
Taking the health talks into classrooms, where the habits that prevent illness are still being formed.
Community health talks on preventable illness
Practical sessions on preventing the illnesses households here actually face — held where people already gather, in the language they speak.
Regular visits to elderly people living alone
Providing funding to elderly people in the community is one of the foundation's four objectives. These visits are how that objective is kept personal.
Termly progress check-ins with supported learners
The monitoring half of the School Monitoring Programs — sitting down with learners, guardians and teachers to see how the term actually went.
Christmas outreach to families and children
A combined outreach at the end of the year — food for households under strain, a gathering for the community, and time with the children.
