Monitoring academic progress is written into the programme's name, and it is the part that distinguishes the foundation's education work from simply paying fees.
At the end of each term, the foundation meets supported learners together with their guardians, and speaks with teachers where possible. The conversation covers results, but also attendance, confidence, and what is happening at home that might be affecting either.
The purpose is not to judge performance. It is to catch problems while they are still small — a subject a learner has fallen behind in, a guardian whose circumstances have changed, a child who has started missing days without anyone raising it.
