What we mean by “You’re Worthy It”

Our slogan sits under our name on everything we print. It is not a marketing line — it is the assumption we start every visit with.

Savemore Foundation

Underneath the Savemore Foundation name is a short line: You're Worthy It. People sometimes ask what it means. It is the shortest way we have found to say what we believe about the people we meet.

“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them.”

Genesis 1:27

Much of what wears a person down in hardship is not only the hunger or the cost. It is the slow message that they have become a burden — a case, a problem, a number on somebody's list.

Worth is not something we assess

We do not decide who is worthy of help by how deserving they appear, how they came to be in difficulty, or how they respond to the Gospel we share. A person's worth is settled before we arrive. Our work is to act as though we believe that.

In practice it looks small. Sitting down rather than standing over someone. Returning to the same household instead of moving on. Asking what a family actually needs rather than announcing what we have brought. Delivering to the home of an elderly person who cannot walk to a distribution point.

It is why the four things go together

Our mission is to save lives and secure them spiritually, physically, economically and academically. Those four are one sentence because a person is not four separate problems. Treating someone as whole is what worth means in practice.

You're Worthy It is not something we tell people at the end of a visit. It is the assumption we walk in with.
